I would want to visit the Saint Louis Arch. It is an important part of history, and is also called the Gateway Arch. I have never been, and I have read about it. It seems like an interesting place to go on summer vacation. It is an amazing national monument. The Arch was built to honor the first pioneers who settled in the West. This is why the Arch is sometimes called the "Gateway to the West".
I would like to see the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial. I would like to visit it because It honors our first presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The mountain it was carved on has another memorial: the Crazy Horse Memorial. It honors an American Indian named Crazy Horse. He was the chief of the Sioux tribe.
I would want to visit the Everglades National Park. I want to go because I like wildlife like plants and animals, and the Everglades National Park has about 3,000 species of birds. It is also home to crocodiles and some big cats. I like to study/observe plants, animals, and just nature in general, and the Everglades National Park is full of it.
I would like to go to the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. I want to go because I really want to see a space shuttle launch, although I might not. I am very interested in space travel.
I would want to visit Plymouth, Massachusetts. I would want to go because the Pilgrims landed here almost 400 years ago. Plymouth was where the Pilgrims voted for our government of democracy. This picture shows a copy of the Mayflower, the pilgrim's ship, that you can go and see.
I would want to visit the Statue of Liberty. I have been there before, and there is a staircase inside you can climb to get to the top of the base or the crown. It has an amazing view. The statue is an important symbol of freedom.
I would want to visit The Alamo in Texas. I would want to go there because a battle for freedom was fought at the Alamo. The fighters were a small group of Texas rebels who wanted freedom from Mexico. (Texas used to be part of Mexico.) A Mexican general named Santa Anna brought his whole army there to stop them. The Texans were slaughtered, but eventually Texas got the independence it wanted.
I would like to visit the Grand Canyon. I would want to go there because it is an amazing landform. It is about 277 miles long and 1 mile deep, so deep that birds can fly in it! Scientists say that the Canyon started to form 600,000,000 to 170,000,000 years ago, carved slowly out of the Earth.
I would like to visit Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming. I would want to go because as I have said before, I am a nature lover. Once, when wolves were disappearing (that is no joke) people successfully repopulated them in Yellowstone.
I would want to visit Mauna Loa in Hawaii. I would want to go there because I kind of like natural disasters. I might not see it erupt (that would be super dangerous), but it would still be fun to see. Also, I have never been to Hawaii. It would be fun to swim and play in all of the tropical beaches.
